USA falls to South Africa
The South Africa Blitzboks took down the host USA Eagles 29-0 in the final match of USA Sevens pool play.
South Africa started this match strong. They held the ball for much of the first half, and found paydirt first with a try from Chris Dry. The USA tried to counter, but couldn’t muster much, and ended up turning the ball over. Seabelo Senatla scored after some fancy footwork inside the USA 22 to pad the Blitzbok lead at halftime.
They didn’t let up in the second half as Senatla got over again early on. Perry Baker and Will Holder both went down for the Eagles on that play. Holder required medical attention on the field. The Blitzboks kept up the pressure, scoring twice more late in the half from Dylan Sage and Cecil Afrika.
