For fans traveling by car, four major thoroughfares feed into
and out of downtown in all directions: Pacific Highway, Interstate
5, State Route 163 and State Route 94/Martin Luther King Freeway.
In addition, eight freeway on- and off-ramps service the area
immediately around the ballpark
The San Diego Trolley system is an attractive
option for those traveling from the north, east or south. The
Gaslamp Quarter (5th Avenue & Harbor Drive) and 12th &
Imperial Trolley Stations are located within two blocks of PETCO
Park. Park-and-Ride Lots are located along all Trolley lines,
providing the convenience of leaving your car behind. In addition
to nearly five thousand Park-and-Ride parking spots at San Diego
Trolley stations, there are an additional 5,000 free parking spots
available at Qualcomm Stadium (excluding major event days at
Qualcomm Stadium).
Another option is to travel to PETCO Park by bus. San Diego Transit
operates three convenient bus routes to PETCO Park - Routes 4, 11,
and 25. Also, Routes 3, 5, and 16, stop on Market Street, just a
short walk to the ballpark. If you are traveling from South County,
there are two additional bus routes providing access to PETCO Park
- Routes 901/902/903 and 929. All of these bus routes use the 12th
& Imperial Transfer Station, Imperial Avenue, Park Boulevard,
and the 10th Avenue/11th Avenue couplet.
